WW1 Ruffle story Assembly Performance

WW1 themed Ruffle Assembly

The latest assembly performance is based on Rachel Greaves’ special Ruffle story to commemorate the ending of the First World War – Ruffle and the first train.  Written to prompt discussion and kindle interest and remembrance of the sacrifice of previous generations, Ruffle and the first train is specifically aimed at under 10’s. Coinciding with the publication of the story, the assembly uses puppets and props in a thoughtful and thought-provoking performance.

As with the other performances, the assembly is free of charge. All we ask is that school advertises the visit and that pupils have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book afterwards.  The full range of Ruffle books will also be available.

If we are to ensure the sacrifice is not forgotten, then we must look to our younger generations.  Hopefully this story will begin the interest to help them remember….’

Ruffle and the First Train was greatly received and I have had nothing but positive feedback from cadets and their parents.  We are extremely grateful for the evening – thank you’.
